It's been awhile

Well, it sure has been awhile. I've had the itch to start writing and posting my photos again for some time now, and I kept clicking over to my old blog - the baker's daughter - wondering if I should pick it up again and thinking how could I pick it up again after 5+ years?

So I am going to start anew, for fear that I may never start at all.

This is my new blog - Sweet Potato Anna. A place for musings on home life, family history, social justice, nature, photography, beauty, love and grieving. Sweet Potato Anna was my film photography company back in 2011 and the baker's daughter was my blog. I am keeping the Sweet Potato Anna name and letting it carry me into a new phase of creativity.

A lot has changed since 2011:

• I have put down the film camera
• My work and home life look completely different.

And some things have stayed the same:

• I still live in Seattle and still revel in domesticity, nature, baking and the small details.
• I am still a daughter of a baker. (Although my sweet, kind baker father, who was my biggest source of creative encouragement, passed away suddenly in 2016).
